For Sale Mini desert garden

Mini desert garden

$250.00

Elements:

  • Rainbow cactus (Echinocereus pectinous var. rubrispinus)

  • Four baseball bat cacti (Neoraimondia herzogiana)

  • Baby Argentine saguaro cactus (Trichocereus terscheckii)

  • Sand “paths” and garden stones

  • Playful white earthenware tray with mini “doors”

  • Small white earthenware plate

I’ve always loved miniatures and that special feeling of being a kid and finding something just your size. When I was younger, we used to go to a toy store that had a separate entrance for adults and kids. I loved going through that mini door!

As an adult, I love exploring botanical gardens, and especially, their whimsical children’s gardens. I wanted to re-create that joy of miniatures in a desert scene. How fun that there is a cactus affectionally referred to as a “baseball bat cactus,” and then a saguaro, which usually grows so big, in miniature! This arrangement is all about fun and joy.

Comes with an extra white earthenware plate. When I water these cacti, I find that the garden tray itself soaks up any excess water, but I like the added protection of a separate tray underneath just in case.
