For Sale Organ pipe cactus, prickly pear flowers, peach moonstone, rhodonite & citrine

Organ pipe cactus, prickly pear flowers, peach moonstone, rhodonite & citrine

$250.00

Botanicals:

  • Organ pipe cactus (Stenocereus thurberi)

  • Dried prickly pear flowers (Opuntia)

Stones/gravels/sands:

  • Peach moonstone

  • Rhodonite

  • Citrine

  • Petrified wood

  • Sonoran desert wash sand

Earthenware:

  • Large and mini white pots

  • White earthenware plate

The combination of organ pipe cactus, rhodonite, and petrified wood sat in my mind for quite awhile before this piece came together. I found a large piece of petrified wood in our backyard (perhaps our house’s former owners had collected some - what luck!) and I knew I had to create this combination in miniature.

The physical immensity of both organ pipe cacti and the trees as well as the processes that bring about petrified wood felt very ancient and ancestral to me, going back to the very foundation of beingness, yet with the heartfelt perspective of rhodonite. The citrine and yellow prickly pear flowers lend a lighthearted balance. And, the peach moonstone just made everything click.
